Everton 1-2 Man United: Here Are 5 Things We Learned From United’s Win Tonight

After losing their last Premier League game, Manchester United got back on track with a 2-1 win over Everton.

When Everton’s Alex Iwobi scored the first goal, it was a little scary. But Manchester United won 2-1 thanks to a quick response from Antony and a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo right before halftime. This gave Erik ten Hag’s team another three points.

1: Anthony Martial’s fame is both a blessing and a curse.

Every minute that Anthony Martial has played for United this season, they have mostly been great.

So far this season, he’s played about 120 minutes and scored three goals and set up two others. However, he’s been hurt three times and hasn’t been able to play.

His ability to bring other players together and be a focal point up front is undeniable, but if he keeps getting hurt, he will become more of a problem for Erik ten Hag than a solution.

2: Casemiro hasn’t found his place yet, but he’s getting better.

By getting Casemiro, many fans felt like the team had finally gotten the defensive midfielder they had been begging for.

But in the first five minutes of the Everton game, Casemiro kicked the ball away before Alex Iwobi scored the first goal.

From that point on, the Brazilian’s game got ten times better (except for one easy chance he missed), and he got his first assist for Red when Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first Premier League goal of the season.

3: Antony’s basic skills make it easy for him to fit in.

Antony became the first player in Red Devils history to score in each of their first three games. He did this against Everton.

Overall, his performances have been good but not great. However, Erik ten Hag’s team is able to use him right away because of his basic talent and skill.

The timing of his runs, his ability to finish well with his left foot, his natural understanding of Erik ten Hag’s system, and his unshakeable confidence give him a great start at the club, and so far, the start has been everything fans could have asked for.

4: Cristiano Ronaldo reminds everyone how crazy his career has been.

It seems almost normal to say, “Cristiano Ronaldo has reached another milestone.” Because of how long and successful his career has been, most of the things he does make him the first or oldest person to do them.

But 700 career club goals are almost impossible to understand.

When you compare this record to Wayne Rooney’s record of 253 goals for Manchester United, you can see how crazy this record is.

One of, if not the best people to do it ever.

5: Luke Shaw is putting up a fight

After the first two months under Erik ten Hag, Luke Shaw seemed to have become Manchester United’s second choice for left back.

Tyrell Malacia joined the club in the summer and got off to a great start, earning praise for his energy and directness in the position.

But after a few less stable games, Shaw was given a chance, which he grabbed with both hands against Everton. He was strong, fast, and able to get back on his feet quickly. He locked down his side and proved that, as KSI says, it’s not over yet.
